Description | The only communication the Royal Society has had about the opening of the Oceanographic Museum at Monaco was in a letter received in May 1906, and relating primarily to a proposed International Congress, which is was hoped to arrange at the same time as the opening of the new museum. The letter was in general terms, with no fixed date and no definite invitation. Since then there has been no word, and without an invitation Council would not offer to send a representative or an Address. It would appear that the Congress has fallen through. |
