DescriptionHarrison is not aware of any gift of £10,000 made by the late Miss Wolfe to the Royal Society during her lifetime. The only donation was £100 given to the Royal Society in 1906 for the purposes of scientific research, and applied with her approval to a physiological investigation. The Royal Society is aware of rumours about benefits left to them in Wolfe's will, although no direct communication has been received on the matter.
