The Council desire me to say that the Society would gladly hear a discourse from you on a subject connected with the "Effects of environment" and in the event of your accepting the invitation I shall be glad to learn at your earliest convenience the precise title of your lecture and the date on which it would most convenient for you to deliver it to the Society.
It is usual to fix the Croonian Lecture for some Thursday after Easter, and the following dates are at present available for the purpose:- May 5, 12, 26, June 9.
I am to add for your information that the year's income of the Croonian Fund amounting to about £55 is handed over as a fee to the lecturer.'
