Description | The Committee on the Tyndall Bequest regretted Cunynghame's absence from their meeting. After careful consideration they agreed that the income of the Tyndall Fund should be utilised for the recognition of scientific research or invention calculated to improve the lot of miners. The first year's income should be devoted to the establishment of a studentship to promote research relating to mining, an appointment will be made in the autumn of 1910. |
