Description'Dear Sir,
With reference to your appointment to the Laboratory to Mpumu to continue the investigations of the Sleeping Sickness of the Commission of the Royal Society I beg to inform you that the detailed programme of the proposed work will be forwarded to you in due course; but in the meantime I am to request that you will be good enough to carry on the experimental enquiries that have been hitherto conducted by Captains Hamerton and Bateman.'
