This paper was sent to Mr Boys, who recommends that it should be published in full in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society]. He says "the paper is decidedly controversial, but it appears to me that the author is right and that there is no objection to it on this account".
In view of this, and the accompanying letter from Lord Rayleigh, who communicated the paper, will Professor Callendar authorise the printing of the paper for Proceedings?' |
