Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir [Joseph] Norman Lockyer, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 20 October 1910 |
Description | Enquiry has been made regarding the location of two 20 inch mirrors 'mounted equatorially', made by the late Dr Common in 1889, and presented by him to the Royal Society in 1890. Harrison is aware that one of the mirrors is in actual use by Professor [Hugh Longbourne] Callendar at the Royal College of Science, having been kept by him since the Eclipse Observations of 1905. Some doubt exists as to the place of the other, and so Harrison would like to know if it resides at the Solar Physics Observatory. |
