| Description | His letters relating to the payment of the grant made to him in 1900 for publication of the results of the Torres Straits Expedition were laid before the Council. They felt a difficulty in acceding fully to the request for payment now out of the balance remaining out of the total grant voted to him, because the terms of the resolution passed by a former Council in 1900 when making the grant. The Council have authorised a further instalment of £55 to be paid in respect of the last named volume, and the remaining £55 will be paid when the last volume is published. |
