| Description | The Royal Society send their congratulations on the celebration of the Third Centenary of the birth of Hevelius. They regret that their notice of this event has been so short, as otherwise they would have been able to send in time for the celebration a photographic transcript of the record in their Journal, which records the election of Hevelius as a Foreign Member in 1664. The Royal Society would very welcome for its own archives a photograph of Hevelius' diploma or letter of Foreign Membership which the Danzig Museum now possesses. |
