|Title||Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor the Honourable R [Robert] J [John] Strutt FRS |
|Date||31 July 1911|
|Description||'I have your card and duly received the Life of Frankland and Siemens for the Library. |
The Library regulations require me to demand the return of all books out on loan by the 1st August, and I am afraid therefore I am bound to ask you too make a special request for sanction to retaining the books still in your hands. If I am armed with this I can shelter behind the Chairman of the Library Committee, the 14th August anyhow, because then the whole place will be closed for cleaning.'
