TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr A [Aubrey] Strahan FRS
Date23 January 1912
Description'The referees' reports on the paper by E A N Arber on "The fossil flora of the Forest of Dead Coalfiedl" were favourable, but Dr Kidston, as I informed you in a memorandum of December 15, stated that it contained a few slips of nomenclature which should by corrected.
A list - which I enclose - of Dr Kidston notes was sent to the author with the suggestion that he should make the alteration indicated.
Mr Arber's reply is enclosed for your perusal: and I am to say that Sir John Bradford, for his part thinks that the course suggested by the suthor is correct, and that he is entitled to record his own views.
Will you as Chairman of the Sectional Committee when the paper was reported on, kindly give your opinion as to the course to be adopted in the matter?'
