TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Lt Colonel H [Henry] H [Haversham] Godwin-Austen FRS
Date8 February 1912
DescriptionGodwin-Austen's letter applying for a grant for his investigation of the South African Land Molusca and for the coast of plates will be laid before the Council in due course; but in the meantime Harrison points out that the Government Grant for Scientific Investigations is not available at all for publication, and conversely the Publication Grant, which is administered by the Council, is strictly limited in its application to costs of publication. An application to the former grant should have been made before the beginning of this year in order to receive consideration out of this year's grant.
The administration of the Publication Grant is exclusively in the hands of the Council.
