TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Horace Hart
Date27 March 1912
Description'I am now returning the specimen page you sent for the above, with the improved arrows etc, and confirm the approval of the [arrowe] and size of numerals as now printed. I have been in communication with Mr Newcombe on the subject of the position of the reference numerals on the line, and have come to the conclusion that they will look best and clearest if separated a little more from the title than in the specimen. I propose therefore that these numerals be printed about one eighth inch further away from the title than at present: that is just the width of the word "see" as printed. If you consider this proposal practical the printing may go ahead on those lines as fast as you like.'
