TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to S H Harmer, Secretary, The National Trust, 25 Victoria Street, SW
Date14 May 1912
Description'In reply to your letter of the 10th instant I have been directed by the PResident to say that in ordinary circumstances the rooms of the Royal Society would have been placed readily at your disposal for your annual meeting on July 11th, but that in view of the nearness of that date to the beginning of the celebrations of the Society's 250th Anniversary, the preparations for which will be in full swing on the date you mention, the President much regrets that it is impracticable to offer you the hospitality of the Society this year.'
