TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to The Right Honourable Sir John Hay Athole Macdonald, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date27 June 1912
DescriptionA crippled arm prevents him from using his own pen. Apologises for the delay in replying to his enquiry regarding the Guildhall Banquet. There has been some difficulty in tracing the particular form of invitation which had been sent to him. It seems that a card of invitation, made out in the President's name, which was issued to official guests, whether Fellows or not.

Other Fellows who have received this card have acted as ordinary Fellows in paying for their dinner tickets. But if, as his letter seems to indicate, he received a personal note from the President asking him to be his guest, then he no doubt intended that he should be the guest of the host.
