Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to The Secretary, African Lakes Corporation Limited, 43 Renfield Street, Glasgow |
Date | 13 August 1912 |
Description | At the request of the Government, the Royal Society has sent out a Commission to Nyasaland [Malawi] under the direction of Colonel Sir David Bruce to investigate Trypanosoma Disease. For the purposes of the investigation it is necessary that the Commission should be supplied every three months with white rats and guinea pigs, which are unobtainable in that country.
The Union Castle Steamship Company has kindly agreed to undertake free of charge two cases containing the animals. Harrison would like to know if the African Lakes Corporation would assist the Commission by conveying the cases from Chinde to Port Herald. |
