|Title||Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Charles Vernon Boys, Fellow of the Royal Society|
|Date||29 January 1892|
|Description||'Dear Mr Boys,|
Mr Common gave us two 20 inch mirrors, mounted equatorially. At present one is in the possession of the Astronomer Royal & the other in that of Mr Common. If you are going to apply for one of them I must ascertain whether either of them is free. But I shall not take any steps till I learn from you what you ascertained last night from Mr Common himself.
