TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]
Date4 April 1891
DescriptionRix asks at what time the Boards are due to meet on 7 May, as he thinks the summonses should be sent out on Monday. He suggests that they might send the summonses for the General Committee in the same envelope.

Rix also reminds Foster that they agreed last year that the Boards in future would begin at the same hour, rather than attempting to conclude at the same hour, with the latter plan having worked badly on previous occasions. In particular, he cites the example of last year, when some boards did not assemble until others had finished their work, and instead proposes a simultaneous start, taking mixed applications first, as the best plan.

He finally states that 'F & D' have already had a preliminary meeting, and 'G' has fixed a meeting, but that the other chairman has not done so.
