TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor William Crawford Williamson, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date20 February 1891
DescriptionFoster reports that the President and Council of the Royal Society believe that the easiest plan is for Williamson to employ Hollich to draw on the stone direct from the specimen, and if the paper is accepted the Society will bear the expense. Foster also mentions utilising Government Grant money for the purpose, but notes that the Council cannot do this themselves and the matter would need to go to the Government Grant Committee.

The President and Council are willing that Williamson should have the originals of the olds and future plates. Rix has directions.
