TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Drake & Gorham
Date21 April 1891
DescriptionRix is now able to answer their query regarding whether Mr Walter Frank Raphael Weldon wished his electric lamps to be immersed, via an illustration of the proposed arrangement [included in the body of the letter]. He explains that his sketch denotes a box containing very cold water, through which run wires for the lamps which illuminate the glass vessels fitting into holes in the lid of the box. The electric lamps are immersed in the cold water.

They are to inform Rix at once should there be any difficulty in the electrical part of this arrangement, so he can prevent Weldon from making arrangements in vain. The exhibit is for the June Soirée.
