TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Crawford Williamson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date24 April 1891
DescriptionRix speculates that Williamson overlooked the memorandum enclosed with the plates, in which the engravers state that the proofs were only being sent to have the work corrected. The reference letters they will insert from his photographic cards at a later stage, with proofs to be sent afterwards. At this stage they simply need to know if the reproduction of the drawings is acceptable, and Rix supposes that he will not need the photographic cards for this.
