DescriptionIn response to Bache's letter of 27 May, Rix assures him that the 'Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers' are bound and preserved in the Royal Society's library, and that they intend to continue to bind the series, which is appreciated by their Fellows. Their set of volumes dates from 1847 to 1889, and comprises of the full set of forty volumes. Rix does not know if any were published before 1847.
