TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Joseph James Thomson, Fellow of the Royal Society

DescriptionRix states that they can provide a darker place, and asks if a bay, 7 feet 8 inches by 7 feet, would be large enough. They will try to borrow a Wimhurst machine and small motor for Thomson. Rix also notes that they have no Leyden jars or other such apparatus as they have no laboratory, so Thomson is asked to bring them. His assistant will have an admission ticket.

Includes a postcript note by T E James which reminds him to let them have a title and short descriptive account, and they will then send a proof of it.
