TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor William Crawford Williamson, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date26 February 1891
DescriptionRix believes that Michael Foster has already informed Williamson that the President and Council of the Royal Society have passed the following resolutions [not listed]. He notes that the resolution may be taken to include all the memoirs to date, and he will send back the illustrations of part 18 as soon as it has gone through the press.

With regards to parts 19 to 90 Rix supposes that the Council reserve the right to retain any illustrations 'which are so exceedingly beautiful' that they do not wish to part with them, but promises to try to prevent any of them getting so 'knotted up with red tape' as to spoil the series which Williamson is trying to complete and preserve. He is sending the plates which he has in his custody, namely those for part 15, and asks whether this makes his set complete, with the exception of these destoyed in the process of reproduction. He will be glad to hear that the drawings have been safely received.
