TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to J Taylor, Office of Works Public Building, 12 Whitehall Place
Date17 September 1891
DescriptionRix explains that the sash-lines to a window in the first floor of the library gave way and smashed the window, and that this occurred when no one was around. He has not sent an order to Mr Street on the basis that Taylor told him that a special letter must be written for glass repairs. Rix notes that they would be glad if Taylor could issue an order for the repair as soon as possible, as their books are currently exposed to the weather.
