Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Hopkinson, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 3 October 1891 |
Description | Rix has been instructed by Lord Rayleigh to discover if Hopkinson is at home, so asks they he let him know. At the same time, Rix asks if he will remind him whether it is the Remington typewriter that he uses, as they are going to get one for the Royal Society office.
A postscript asks if Hopkinson will give J and A Churchill leave to use the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' plates of his to illustrate a book on chemical technology edited by Charles Edward Groves and W Thorpe. Rix notes they have written to ask, but that it is as much a decision for the author as for the Society. |
