DescriptionJukes-Brown wrote to the Royal Society on 7 July asking if a grant could be made to continue boring at Marston, and he was informed that it was too late to receive applications for aid from the Government Grant. He was told of the small Urgency Fund in the hands of the President and Council and a form of application was sent to him. Nothing was heard from him and the form was not returned.
