Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Francis Darwin, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 8 October 1914 |
Description | The position regarding the Indian Advisory Committee is this: a few years ago owing to a rather unfortunate criticism which was sent in to the Indian Government from the Advisory Committee and was strongly resented, the India Office intimated that they did not want the Committee's opinions unless they were asked for. They said they would continue to send their reports for information. It is not a very dignified position for the Royal Society. |
