Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Dr Augustus Desire Waller FRS |
Date | 18 March 1915 |
Description | 'It occurred to me that Potter's results as to the electrical effects accompanying the decomposition of organic compounds were what might have been expected to occue in view of the fact that gases bubbled through any conducting solutions or simple covering fluid are electrified (see paper by J J THomson in the Phil[osophical] Trans[actions]) and I therefore asked an expert physicist to look at the paper. He reports in favour of publication and condensation. I enclose a copy of his remarks. Will you write to Potter or shall I?' |
