TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Valentine Knapp Esquire; Hertcombe, Combe Warren, Kingston Hill
Date18 February 1916
DescriptionExplains to Valentine Knapp Esquire that the experience of the Society has proven that it is not easy to obtain a transfer to scientific work of men who have already joined the Forces, but that it does depend upon their specific qualifications for work required for the war. Asks for more details of Mr. Knapp's son's qualifications as a chemist in order that the Society can pursue his case further.
