TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr. Edward C. Hort
Date18 May 1917
DescriptionNotes that the Council recently had drawn to their attention the fact that Dr. Edward C. Hort's paper, 'The life-history of bacteria', appeared published in the British Medical Journal on May 5th. Explains to Dr. Hort that the Society has always been particular in insisting that papers should not be published first elsewhere, and that this is not the case here has produced a most unfortunate impression. Expresses the desire of the Council that in any further communications Dr. Hort may offer to the Society, he prioritise securing the Society in publication.
