Description | Informs the Secretary of State that the Society has been asked to undertake the management of a sum of money, offered to them to defray the expenses of an expedition to carry out Anthropological investigations amongst the native tribes of Uganda and British East Africa. Explains that the work is to be entrusted to Reverend John Roscoe, who has spent twenty five years as a missionary in Central Africa, chiefly amongst the Baganda of the Uganda Protectorate. Asks if such an expedition would have the approval of His Majesty's Government. |
