Writes that there has not yet been a meeting of the Emergency Finance Committee, though he has discussed the business thoroughly with [Sir George Thomas] Beilby, and that the Society are expecting to be receive £115,000 from the late [Rudolph] Messel to be donated to 'the furtherence of scientific research'. |
