DescriptionThe Royal Society's lawyers are anxious to have Lubbock's answer to the letter sent to Lubbock on 21 July, asking whether he would be willing to act as a Trustee in a new mortgage which is being carried out between the Royal Society and the Duke of Norfolk. Lubbock was Trustee in a former mortgage between the same parties.
