Description | The letters number 618 to 621 from D J Cocherel are written in a beautifully neat hand, dated from Rousen and Paris, but the Society does not know who Cocherel was. The content of the letters seems to show that he was an astronomer, but he was not a member of the Royal Society. Rix does not find any mention of Huyghens in any one of the four letters [EL/C1/90-92]. |
