|Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to the Secretary of His Majesty's Treasury
|17 December 1920
|Informs the Secretary that a number of applications regarding the Challenger Reports have been received, and the relevant Committee have considered these carefully. Explains that the Committee did not see their way to may recommendation to a number of these and have noted those to which they do recommend sets. Notes they also think it desirable to recommend keeping ten sets in reserve for presentation to those countries represented on the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea.
