DescriptionReminds Professor [James Charles] Philip that he recently reported on a paper by [Henry] Briggs, 'The adsorption of gas by charcoal, silica and other substances'. Explains that Briggs has reduced the paper in accordance with his suggestions to 14 pages, however, the Chairman of the [Chemistry] Committee is not yet satisfied as to its suitability for publication. Asks Professor Philip if he could read it again and give his opinion on the matter.
