Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to [Charles Thomas] Heycock Esquire, Chairman of the Chemistry Committee and FRS |
Date | 3 May 1921 |
Description | Informs Mr. [Charles Thomas] Heycock that the Society advertised for applications for grants from the Gore and Trevelyan Funds, and that the Council have left the final decision on these applications to the Officers and Chairmen of Sectional Committees. Encloses a list of the applications and notes that number five is especially relevant to Sir Heycock's Committee [not enclosed]. Further notes that it was expressly resolved by Council that no application be considered if it was of a nature that would have been more suitable as a Government Grant application and asks Mr. Heycock whether he thinks this applies to this application. |
