TitleCopy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Hector Munro] Macdonald, FRS
Date10 November 1921
DescriptionRefers to Professor [Hector Munro] Macdonald's paper, 'Note on the summation of series'. Explains that his reply to the initial referee report was forwarded to the referee [Godfrey Harold Hardy], who remains unconvinced by his argument. Notes that the opinion of another referee has been obtained, which is also adverse to Professor Macdonald's argument. Asks if, under the circumstances, Professor Macdonald now wants to withdraw his paper.
