DescriptionInforms Prof. Frederica that he can expect permission to reproduce in his book on the Physiology of the Heart, illustrations found in papers by Dr. [Augustus Desire] Waller, Dr. [Francis] Gotch and Sir Thomas Lewis, which appeared in Philosophical Transactions B.180, 206 and 207 and Proceedings B.79. Subject to acknowledgements being made and gaining the consent of Sir Thomas Lewis. [The papers involved are 'The spread of the excitatory process in the vertebrate heart. Parts I-V', 'The excitatory process in the dog's heart. Part II.- The ventricles', 'Capillary electrometer records of the electrical changes during the natural beat of the frog's heart. (Preliminary communication.)' and 'On the electromotive changes connected with the beat of the mammalian heart, and of the human heart in particular']
