TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Edward Liveing, Registrar, Royal College of Physicians
Date20 June 1893
DescriptionLiveing's letter of the 4th March concerning certain trade advertisements containing the signature of a Fellow of the Royal Society has been carefully considered by the President and Council.

Rix is directed to state that the Society is indebted to the College of Physicians for bringing the matter to their notice and that they have remonstrated with the Fellow named and have issued to all Fellows a letter of which Foster encloses a copy [not attached]. The President and Council fully realise the gravity of the matter and should the above steps fail to check the practice in question they will be prepared to consider the desirability of further action.
