TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr James Samuel Risien Russell
Date1 December 1892
DescriptionProfessor Michael Foster desires Rix to write and say that one of the plates now being executed by the Cambridge Engraving Company is of a character not really desirable for publication at the present moment. Foster thinks it would be better to substitute a diagram if this can be done without detriment to the scientific value of the paper.

Foster has spoken with Professor Victor Horsley on the matter and Horsley is of the opinion that a simple diagram might be substituted for the somewhat realistic picture of the vivisection experiment. If Russell will let Rix have a diagram as quickly as possible he will get the plate completed in a short time.
