TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Edmund J Sheridan, 295 Adelphi Street, Brooklyn, New York, USA
Date1 March 1893
DescriptionIn reply to Sheridan's letter of 16th February, the Royal Society has published no such manual since the middle of the 17th century. Rix believes the Royal Geographical Society has published a guide of this kind and he is told there is also an 'Admiralty Manual of Scientific Inquiry' which he supposes is published by Eyre & Spottiswoode, who issue all the Government publications.
