TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to the German Ambassador, Carlton House Terrace
Date24 November 1892
DescriptionThe Royal Society has this year awarded the Copley Medal, the highest honour it has to bestow, on the Ambassador's distinguished countryman Rudolph Virchow. If Virchow is unable to attend it would be a great honour if the Ambassador would be able to send the Anniversary Meeting in his place on 30 November at 4pm, to receive the medal from the President on behalf of Virchow. If the Ambassador's engagement's allow, they would also be very pleased if he could attend the Anniversary dinner at 6.30 for 7pm at the Whitehall Rooms.
