Title | Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Arthur Keith, FRS |
Date | 7 October 1929 |
Description | In reply to Sir Arthur Keith's letter, expresses that the Royal Society is 'puzzled and disturbed' that they received a letter from Dr Todd in August, stating that Keith had instructed him to send two films to the Royal Society. Explains that because the Royal Society is the body that advises Customs whether films can be imported free of customs duty if they are purely scientific, it put them in an awkward position. [Bottom of letter is cut off, but seems to say that Towle is trying his best to expedite matters.] |
