In answer to your note of February the 7th, the Treasurer has now inspected the portraits of Sir Benjamin Brodie and is willing to give a guinea for one of the proofs. If you can call here any day but Saturday between 11 and 4, I will return you the two others and pay you the guinea.
I am, yours faithfully,
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
