It is decided to publish your paper "On the skin of the Common Eel" in the "Philosophical Transactions" ['Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society']. Inclosed I send you, by instruction of Dr Foster, extracts from one of the referees' reports. I am also to say that, on the recommendation of one of the referees, we propose to omit the last two plates, which are hardly necessary in addition to the excellent drawings in the other plates.
