We have duly received from the British Astronomical Association the box of lantern slides of the Solar Eclipse of April 1893. This will be laid before the Society at the first meeting of our new session. Meanwhile, I may return you the very hearty thanks of the officers for this valuable present.
Your kind and courteous letter acknowledging our present of books was read to the Council at their last meeting.
I am, yours faithfully,
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
