TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society
Date30 October 1893
DescriptionRix states that Dr Sharp has sent in a printed list of 900 entries, with the request that they mark those in the Royal Society's library. As this would occupy all their spare time for a number of weeks, he proposes that he suggest Sharp send one of the Recorders to the Society to undertake the work himself, and asks if Foster objects to Rix suggesting this to him. The letter is annotated to state that though they could do it roughly from memory in half an hour, as they mean to publish their answer, each entry needs to be checked.

He also lists the enclosure of: a set of "Suggestions"; a letter from C R Markham concerning the obituary of Dr Rae, and asks to whom he should write next; a letter from Dr Pole, undertaking Hawksley.
