TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Secretary, Royal Society
Date15 December 1893
DescriptionRix notes the enclosure of estimates for Miss Charlotte Angas Scott's plates and Professor Karl Pearson's plates. He states that although the estimate for Scott's could be reduced from four to three pounds if they used photolithography, the result would not be as satisfactory, and so it would not be worthwhile.

He also reports that Mr Fletcher's paper on the 'Meteoric Stone' is very long for 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. Rix has obtained an abstract from Fletcher, and notes that Fletcher himself seems doubtful about the suitability of the full paper for 'Proceedings', so suggests that the abstract be put into type, and the full paper be referred. He asks Rayleigh if he may do this.
